4th @ Broadway

4th @ Broadway is an environmentally sustainable, transit-oriented, 62-unit mixed-income and mixed-use community in the heart of Chelsea’s Bellingham Square. The redevelopment includes the renovation of the historic 19 existing loft-style Executive Building apartments and the construction of a new 6-story, 43 unit building into 5 market-rate units, 19 workforce housing units, and 38 deeply affordable units including 9 set aside for households earning 30%AMI or less, of which 6 will be formerly homeless households.

 

Six below-market neighborhood retail spaces will continue to activate Broadway Street. The project is across the street from the 111 bus stop to Boston, is 0.6 miles from the Chelsea commuter rail station, and will be Enterprise Green certified and approach Passive House design.

 

4th @ Broadway utilizes State and Federal 9% tax credits, State soft debt, Workforce Housing funds, North Shore HOME funds, and local subsidy. Boston Communities is partnering with Arx Urban.
