Wells School

Wells School is an adaptive reuse of an historic school into a mixed-income 62-unit community for seniors and older adults in Southbridge, Massachusetts. The project restores an important aspect of Southbridge history into an amenity-rich apartment building with a beautiful tenant lounge, movie room, activity room, play space, a game room, library and work pods, a wellness suite, in-building laundry, a fitness and yoga studio, and an internal courtyard.

 

The redevelopment utilized State and Federal low income housing and historic tax credits and State soft debt. A member of the Boston Communities team worked on this project while employed by the developer.
